For those taking their first steps off sealed streets and wanting to get to know Tassie’s beginner and medium-level walking opportunities, Trail Adventures is a great way to get ready!
Trail Adventures takes you to quarter- and half-day walks on a variety of trail types. You will get to know local trails in local Reserves much better and enjoy a beach and sand dune walk from Lades Beach.
During Trail Adventures, there will be an opportunity to test out your emerging fitness at public events such as the Mt Barrow Challenge, The Triple Top and the Point to Pinnacle. Our last session, where we celebrate how far our fitness has come, is one of the great walks in Tasmania – to Legges Tor at the summit of the Ben Lomond Plateau. Apart from a unique landscape, it provides you with a taster for our next-level walking program which can take you to new heights – our Bushwalking and Mountaineering Training Program.
What to Expect
- A great beginner’s program for exploring trail walking in Tasmania
- Participants will be ready to participate (optional) in the Mt Barrow Challenge.
