TRAINING PLAN FOR OVERLAND TRACK PACK ATTACK

The Overland Track – for any with an interest in multi-day walking in Tasmania, it is on the bucket list. The 70 km trail runs through the middle of the Cradle Mountain – Lake St Clair National Park amid utterly breathtaking mountain scenery.

The Overland Track Pack Attack (OTPA) gets participants ready for multi-day walking in remote areas, mostly by going walking in remote areas!  Along the way, you will gain tips and knowledge on pack preparation, putting up tents as well as improving your fitness.

And the OTPA doesn’t just get you ready for the Overland Track. From the 3 Capes Track to the South Cape Track, Frenchmans Cap and more, there are a staggering amount of multi-day walks in Tasmania for you to complete.

WHAT TO EXPECT IN THIS PREP PROGRAM?

  • Preparation for multi-day walks in Tasmania
  • Using local trails and Tasmania’s great remote walking trails, you will be leg-fit and pack-ready
  • All program content at less than $11/hour

How much time does it take?
Sessions will vary in length from hours to days. Email [email protected] to receive your info pack. This will include a detailed list of the likely times for each session.  
I had an injury, can I still join?
Overland Track Pack Attack is a physically intense training program conducted in remote areas in potentially challenging environmental conditions. Carrying an injury into this environment is not recommended. If you are unsure, consult a medical professional for advice before registering for Overland Track Pack Attack.
I am pregnant. Is this walk suitable for me?
Overland Track Pack Attack is a physically intense training program conducted in remote areas in potentially challenging environmental conditions. Undertaking the Overland Track Pack Attack while pregnant is not recommended. If you are unsure, consult a medical professional for advice before registering for Overland Track Pack Attack.
