The Bunny Hunt
21km Circuit
This 21km circuit was a favourite when we trained walkers for the Point to Pinnacle half marathon in Hobart. This challenging route includes some of Launceston’s great hill climbs including the Zig-Zag Track, Penstock Ladder and Heartbreak Hill. With this one under your belt, you be coming back again and again. Why ‘The Bunny Hunt’? We’ll tell you all about that along the way!
Every Street Project
Get to know your backyard
This is simply the best way to get to know a place. By walking literally everywhere, skipping nothing, you have a greater sense of connectedness with your local area. Utilising free walking apps, we’ll upskill you so you can track your own Every Street Project and even complete some in your own time.
If you think there’s a lot of walking to complete an Every Street Project (ESP), you’re right! Our longest ESP completed – Greater Launceston – was estimated to be 2,000km! (we walk every street, road, path and trail!). We have commenced Every Street Projects in Greater Launceston, Beaconsfield, George Town and Low Head.

Daisy Chain Walking Series
A Fun Way To Explore
These are a group of 4-5km circuit walks that interlink. Like a daisy chain, one loop connects to the next. Ascent Fitness has created daisy chain walks along the West Tamar, West Launceston, Trevallyn Nature Recreation Area, Cataract Gorge Reserve and The Rocherlea Old Rail Trail. It’s a fun way to explore and you can make longer loops as your fitness increases.
